Dr. Brett D. Puttaert, BSc.,O.D. is a recent Optometry graduate who joined the practice as of January 2018. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dr. B. Puttaert attended the University of Manitoba where he received a four year Major BSc. degree in Biological Sciences and made the Deans Honour list in the final year. Upon receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. B. Puttaert attended postgraduate studies at the Illinois College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. B. Puttaert completed clinical externships in Mount Dora and Tallahassee, Florida, the Veterans Hospital in TriCity, Tennessee where he received honours standing, as well as Advanced Ocular Health in Chicago, Illinois. He is a registered member of both the Manitoba and Canadian Associations of Optometrists and provides full scope professional optometric services to all ages. A previous recipient of varsity athlete of the year and a provincial soccer championship, he continues playing a variety of sports. He also enjoys international travel, and spending the summer weekends with family and friends at his family cottage in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
